At the group’s main stand, five specialists are presenting their latest innovations designed to drive tomorrow’s market success:
AKRO-PLASTIC GmbH: “Safety starts with the compound”
With decades of experience, this specialist in innovative plastic compounds focuses on future-proof technologies. As well as customised compounds, customers also benefit from application-specific solutions and regulatory compliance.
Benchmark for thermal resistance: AKROLOY® PARA GF 35 1 FR orange (8039) is a cost-effective solution for protection against thermal runaway in battery systems. The material combines high strength with an attractive appearance and exceptional thermal insulation: if a 2 mm-thick component is exposed to temperatures in excess of 1,000 °C for ten minutes, its rear surface remains below 100 °C. The thin wall thickness saves weight and installation space, whilst short cycle times in injection moulding reduce unit costs.
Replacement of fossil-based raw materials: The AKROMID® ECO product family has recently been expanded to include compounds based on a post-consumer recycled (PCR; DIN EN ISO 14021:2021) polyamide 6. With a recycled content of over 30 %, these compounds are technically comparable to virgin compounds. Apart from potentially meeting regulatory targets (e.g. the End-of-Life Vehicles Directive (ELV)), the AKROMID® B3 GF 30 ECO black (9172), for example, stands out compared to the AKROMID® B3 GF 30 1 black (2485) with a 38 % lower partial product carbon footprint (pPCF; in accordance with DIN EN ISO 14067:2018). “We look forward to discussing projects where sustainable materials are required,” says Thilo Stier, Director of Sales and Innovation at AKRO-PLASTIC.
Printed in large format: the eye-catcher at the stand is a kayak from Zeisberg Carbon, over five metres long, 3D-printed from AKROLEN® PP ICF 30 AM black (8344), a carbon fibre-reinforced polypropylene for additive manufacturing. The carbon fibres ensure high rigidity and minimal warping – a prerequisite for being able to print components of this size at all. The polypropylene has a low density and, according to the compounder’s specifications, absorbs hardly any water – ideal for use on the water. According to the company, one-off items and small batches can also be produced cost-effectively without the need for moulds.
Innovations you can touch: Alongside the kayak, AKRO-PLASTIC is showcasing numerous other components from innovative customer projects.
K.D. Feddersen Distribution: New partnerships and digital services
Products for every challenge: this is the theme of the distributor’s trade fair presentation, which focuses on providing suitable solutions to meet the current needs of plastics processors. Cost pressures, increasing demands for efficiency and performance, and the issue of sustainability continue to be key concerns for our customers. “With our broad portfolio and our expertise in materials, we support plastics processors in finding the right material solution for their applications,” says Karen Kaufmann, Head of Sales for Germany at K.D. Feddersen GmbH & Co. KG.
The distributor is also expanding its portfolio and taking its customer service to a new level:
New partnership with Styrenix: Through this new distribution partnership, K.D. Feddersen Distribution is expanding its portfolio to include the ASALAC® (ASA) and STYROLOY® blends brands. The materials comprise PC+ABS, ASA+PMMA and PA-ABS blends and are suitable for a range of demanding applications.
High-performance materials: With ZYPEEK™ from Jilin Joinature Polymer Co., Ltd., the company is introducing an expanded range of PEEK-based materials.
New customer portal: With the launch of the new digital service portal, the company is expanding its digital offering. Customers will now be able to access product information and other services in one place and with even greater ease.
K.D. Feddersen Ueberseegesellschaft mbH: Resilient supply chains
The global distributor focuses on safeguarding international supply chains.
“K.D. Feddersen Ueberseegesellschaft mbH has been supplying technical polymers for compounding and extrusion applications for many years. Our primary focus has always been – and is now more than ever – on expanding global supply chains. We therefore support our customers with multi-sourcing strategies and customised warehousing and logistics solutions to help reduce supply chain risks, even during times of international crisis,” said Silke Hamm, Head of the Polymers & Compounding Technology division at K.D. Feddersen Ueberseegesellschaft mbH. In addition to its existing range of products such as PBT, PA6, PC and PLA, the company is also introducing long-chain speciality polyamide solutions and various copolyesters this year, which are suitable for both compounding and film, sheet and filament applications.
M.TEC ENGINEERING GmbH: Mastering complexity
The development service provider outlines ways in which companies can reliably manage increasing system complexity in product development. The focus is on engineering solutions that shorten development times, reduce costs and enhance project reliability. Through a systematic development approach, M.TEC combines expertise in plastics technology with methodological expertise.
M.OPT®: This in-house, AI-powered optimisation tool reduces development risks and significantly optimises components.
Circular economy concepts: The focus is on strategies for design for recycling to improve cost-effectiveness.
AF-COLOR: Colour. Function. Progress!
For the masterbatch specialist, this triad is more than just a recurring trade fair slogan. It embodies the commitment to continuously develop the product portfolio and create solutions that meet the needs of the plastics industry, both today and tomorrow. The focus is on tailor-made colour, black and additive solutions for technically demanding plastics such as PA, PBT, PK and TPU – tailored to the material, processing and application. In particular, functional masterbatches from the additive portfolio are becoming increasingly important.
Capacity expansion: With its latest investments in production, AF-COLOR is responding even more flexibly to customer requirements in the masterbatch sector.
Circular economy: Circular product ranges are being launched under the AF-CirColor®, AF-CirCarbon® and AF-CirComplex® brands.
PolyComp GmbH: The partner for customised compounding
From concept to series production.
At PolyComp, the focus is on meeting customers’ requirements. Alongside large production runs, smaller batches, development samples and individual solutions are also becoming increasingly important. To address these needs even more effectively, the company has invested in a new FED 26 MTS laboratory extruder.
With this new production line, the company is expanding its capabilities, particularly for start-ups, development departments and customers requiring samples, trial batches or specialised formulations. This enables compounds to be developed precisely, cost-effectively and with a strong focus on practical application.
More flexibility: Low-volume quantities, samples and development batches can be produced quickly and according to customer needs.
Reliable scale-up: Formulations developed on a laboratory scale can be transferred efficiently to production scale.
Customised solutions: Whether standard compounds or custom formulations with additives and fillers, PolyComp works closely with customers to develop application-focused solutions.

FEDDEM is presenting a new stand concept in Hall A6, Stand 6217
The Group’s mechanical engineering company is showcasing a highlight for formulation development at its own stand:
The FED 18 MTS laboratory extruder is specifically designed to meet the requirements of formulation and product development, delivering precise and reproducible results in a compact footprint.
Its modular design allows the process length to be flexibly adjusted from 32 L/D up to 52 L/D – without any modifications to the frame, cooling system or control system.
All supply lines are plug-in, allowing the extruder to be quickly reconfigured and used in a variety of ways. In addition to its robust design, optional add-on units such as the FSB side feed or the FSV side vacuum degassing system provide practical scale-up options.
