Innovation
Product development and service
Innovation is always also an investment in sustainability. Here are a few examples from our group of companies.
The Digital Office is situated in K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH and has three main topics within the Feddersen Group: The digitalisation of internal business processes, the provision of data for all employees (data democratisation) and the creation of digital solutions for our customers. In this way, we are driving the business transformation into the digital future.
We all feel that the world is spinning faster and faster. This becomes particularly clear when we consider the time intervals between industrial revolutions such as water and steam power around 1780, electricity around 1870, automation in the 1970s and today's digitalisation (starting around 2000). Resource scarcity, urbanisation, technological, climatic, demographic and social change are examples of the issues that will significantly influence our business life in the future. We have to face up to these tasks now!
The Feddersen Group is therefore also embarking on a search for new, innovative business models outside of the group structures with port F.
For ever new applications, the simulation of material- and energy-intensive processes with the digital twin offers considerable potential for conserving resources. Our engineering company M.TEC is working on this.
Virtual reality technology in maintenance and support enables our colleagues at FEDDEM to assist customers with questions and problems spontaneously and without long business trips. Thanks to image-based support, minor repairs or setting corrections can be carried out from a distance. This reduces expensive machine downtime to a minimum and our customers can get straight back to work.
We firmly believe that investment in sustainability always pays off. Here we list just a few sustainable products from the Feddersen Group:
LFT Pultrusion Lines for smooth production of long fibre compounds
Innovative and sustainable alternatives for conventional polyamides: AKROMID® NEXT Product series
Biobased and/or biodegradable plastics from BIO-FED.

Fair competition and compliance
Fair competition and compliance
Our group of companies places particular value on trusting, long-term partnerships with our customers and suppliers. For this reason, fair competition and compliance are of the highest priority. This is the only way we can all operate sustainably and survive on the market in the long term. However, if something does go wrong, we ask everyone to report these incidents via our whistleblower system so that we can take remedial action as quickly as possible.

Regional engagement in Hamburg
K.D. Feddersen Foundation
As a successful entrepreneur, it was a special concern of our company founder Karl Detlef Feddersen to give something back to society. For this reason, he established the K.D. Feddersen Foundation. It operates a senior citizens' residential home in Hamburg Lokstedt, which has grown continuously to this day and provides a home for around 250 residents. The K.D. Feddersen Foundation is the sole shareholder of K.D. Feddersen Holding GmbH, which holds the investments in the companies of the Feddersen Group.

Regional commitment at our worldwide locations
We support these projects
We are also involved locally beyond Hamburg's borders. Our ambition is to provide lasting added value for the community and to be a reliable local partner. For example, we support the Kinderhilfe Hyvong Vietnam e.V., the Shanghai Pudong Special Education School and the non-profit organisation "More Than Aware", which is committed to breast cancer prevention. The teddy bears in the picture were made by the students of the Shanghai Pudong Special Education School.
